Sorry for the double post* but I wanted to change the title of my post in hopes of getting more responses. Here is my original post:

Hi,
My girlfriend and I just booked La Casita (Beach House 9) on Playa Miguel with CocoView.

Does anybody have any experience w/ this house (or any of the others??) Apparently, it's being renovated as we speak.

We will be going the week of April 22.

Thanks in advance for any reviews/info on the house! We are both really excited about our trip! It's her 3rd dive trip, but my 1st!

I recieved one response from Oly5050user (thanks!), but I'm looking for any other bit of information I can get.

*mods-I couldnt figure out how to delete the previous post (cocoview bh9 anyone)

My wife and I stayed in #9 many years ago. Depending on your expectations, we found it to be a nice place. No AC, No TV, and very quiet. The living room seating area is a little uncomfortable but the hammocks are great and the upstairs patio was very relaxing with a nice view.

We did have the occasional iguana on the roof and at the time it was a tin roof so they made a little noise. Especially if they slide down and fell off the roof.

It is also big enough that after a few days of diving and you get to know a few other divers you can have them over for evening cocktails. There was also a small stove for coffee in the early morning and a small fridge for fruit juices, beer and ice.

We use the meal deal at coco view. There are a few bicycles around to ride back and forth. It’s just a short walk if they are not available.

Again, it’s been a few years but we like it and would rent the place again if we were going down to Roatan.

Have fun

Craig

About two years ago I believe that it was completely rebuilt- new owners of that unit and all. I think they left that nice little treehouse platform for sunning and stargazing.

None of the Beach Houses are any great distance, but Casita is one of the closest ones to the main Clubhouse and dive op.

Good advice and hotlinks above.
