Hi Chris,

After having replaced the battery of my Cobra, the battery compartment flooded yesterday :(
I rinsed it with fresh water and cleaned it with WD40.....
Any chance the unit survived this unintended introduction to the aquatic environment??

Thx in advance for your answer.

Rob

Rob,

If you were able to get the salt water out as soon as possible, then you may very well have a chance that the unit is still functional. A fresh water, light toothbrushing then letting dry would be the only necessary steps to take. I would not of used WD40. I strongly advise that you send in your Cobra to an authorized service center for evaluation to ensure the safety and functionality of the unit.

Best Regards,
Chris from Suunto
