Does anyone know if the restriction for kids diving is stronger for CMAS than it is for PADI.

Basically, if a 10-12 yo kid with a PADI JOW is getting to any of the french Tuamotu dive clubs, would they let the child dive according to the PADI limit (12m/with parent) ?

Second question ....
What would be the best (easiest) islands for 'kid diving' (Rangi/Fakarava/tikeau/other) ?

thanks

At the risk of sounding harsh, the dives in Fakarava and Rangiroa are for the most part too deep and there is often too strong a current - at the walls or at the passes, respectively - for it to be suitable or safe for a 10-12 year old (or even some adults, for that matter). There are some dives that they do in the lagoon that are shallower and with no current, but you won't see much.

I don't know the answer to your first question but I can suggest that you contact Serge or Carinne at Fakarava Diving Center.
