I'm curious where one goes diving around Denver.

Why - you go to to the airport of course!
Well if you HAVE to dive in the Denver area, Aurora reservoir has a scuba area with a gutted aircraft, crawdads and weeds to look at. You can also go to Chatfield, but you can only dive the small lakes and they are not very interesting. Outside Denver, people dive Wellington reservoir as well as others. I still prefer going to the airport on my way to the dive site
