I'm a Fish!
I have had a few suggestions already....but I am hoping someone who has an Aeris AI/QD can answer this.....I have tried retractors and quick release clips which is the setup I have now....but none really work the way I want it too....the computer has a little half moon shape at the bottom of the computer to clip on to....so when I have it clipped the computer hangs and faces away from my body and my computers plastic gauge protector gets scratched on ladders etc....and I constantly have to hold it when I am diving ....I would like for my computer/gauges to face my body to protect it and so that I can just glance down and see my computer when diving....any suggestions

I dive with the Aeris AI as well.

One thing I've done is clip it to the right shoulder d-ring
during entry and then switch to the left shoulder just
before or during descent. Clipped to your left shoulder
with retractor isn't that bad other than it dangles down some.
To read it you simply grab it and tip it up.
Or if you clip it high on your left and your arms are folded
up buy your body, the computer will tip up and you can
read with out touching it.
On exit simply clip it to the right D-ring and it should be
out of the way climbing up ladder.

Anther thing that I started doing is to leave it clipped to my right
shoulder D-ring using a retractor instead of d-rings on my left shoulder.
If you twist the computer
to just the right angle, you can even actually read it without ever
having to touch it (hands free).
Sometimes I tuck a portion of the hose in the cummerbund.
You don't have to tuck in the hose but, when tucked in,
there is nothing protruding/dangling at all which I find very
useful when I'm taking pictures.

If you have a "standard" octo you will have to figure out how
to make sure it won't get the octo hose tangled
with your HP hose during deployment.
I don't have this issue as I have an octo+ but the Octo+
has its own set of issues relating to dangling.

The retractor I use is this one: cetacea HF mini retractor
I like this retractor because you can quickly disconnect it from
the retractor if you need/want to.

In some cases, during exit or before entry, I'll disconnect the computer
from the retractor and stuff the computer in the left pocket
and zip the zipper up around it to protect it.
This is a useful place to store the computer while on the
boat if space is tight, or if your helpful crew has you remove
your BC while in the water or at the top of the ladder so they can
put it away in the boat for you.

Hope that gives you some ideas.
