Cleaning Thermo Pro Valves

I just picked up some used Thermo ProK Valves. They look clean and in good shape but still want to go over them before I attach them to some Al80 I have. Is there a manual, book, website, basic info I can research to make sure my valves are ready to go. My LDS want $15 a pop. I would perfer to do them myself if I can.

Parts to rebuild, although they cost more than $15. Nitrox-Ready Valves by Thermo - Dive Gear Express There is probably somewhere to get just the o-rings. Seats seem to last a long time. I always replace the tank neck o-ring.

I like using my ultrasonic cleaner on most everything as such. Removes the crud from the threads and other hard to reach places without damaging anything.

If your only go to do a few valves just soak them in warm vinegar and forget about the ultra sonic cleaner. I will admit that the ultra sonic does help alot if you can get one cheap.

^Vinegar works. Although it won't clean your glasses, your regulators, jewelery, nor your carburetors very well. Ultrasonics have tons of cleaning purposes.

The HF one you listed is probably one of the most commonly used unit around. Mine is over 4 times as much and about 3 times as big. Use hot water which you can just get from the tap or heating it in a pan. You need to be able to put your fingers in it without burning them though. Then some Simple Green, 409, or dishwashing liquid, depending on what you are cleaning.

With HF always use a coupon!! Although these are only valid in store. Guess I am lucky in that I have a "Made in China HF store" less than a mile away.
