Had a O-ring hit the carpet and now it has fuzzies all over it. Anyone had any problems using isopropyl alcohol to clean O-rings??

Depending on its composition, alcohol is somewhere between unnecessary and damaging. Best bet is warm water and detergent.

I'd use warm soapy water and then lube it properly once it is dry. No need for harsher solvents.

come off with soap and water.
If there are any sharp crunchy type things on it I toss it and get a new one.

O-rings are cheap.

Did not know that soap would break down the silicone grease. Great tip.. THanks for the info and happy holidays to all..
