Do you still need to have mod approval?
On your first Classifieds post, yes.

Why? Many users share the same username and password over many forums. Some of these old forums have been harvested, and hackers are using this information to hijack accounts in order to scam our users. We don't like that and have been changing our requirements in order to frustrate them enough to get them to leave us alone. :D Our success is up to you.

Your short answer should maybe be part of your Rules, since it can add an unexpected and uncertain delay to that first post.

Yeah, we're trying to keep the scammers a bit off kilter. But I'll think about it. :D

Nah, you're right. I've added that to the Special Rules.

  • You must have at least 25 posts and have joined the Marketplace User Group!
    • No exceptions!
    • Stupid posts may be deleted at our discretion.
    • There's always EBay and Craigs List if this is too onerous for you.
    • Please turn on 2FA (two factor identification) to protect your account from hackers.
    • Your first post in a classifieds forum will be approved manually by a moderator. Please expect a short delay.
Please check my work. Your suggestions are invaluable. Thanks.

Policy makes a lot of sense and the additional information should help new members.

Since you asked to check your work:
  • Craigslist is not two words
  • eBay is should be spelled "eBay"

Edits have been done, and I made it a bit more consistent as well. Many thanks to @Wants2divemore and @tursiops for your input. We still want more input. Feel free to tell us what doesn't make sense as well as any misuse of grammar or spelling.
