I've purchased my first computer as I'm learning recently scuba, a scubapro mantis M1. been looking online and all over but I don't seem to find an explanation for a figure.

I've added a link to a picture online showing in the mid-row the info: 2: 3m 5:

As per my findings, the last 2 figures on the right means I have a stop of 5 minutes at 3 meters. But what is the first number (2) on the left all about? during a dive it switches between 1 and 4. plz help?

Is that not the number of minutes of NDL you have left at your current depth (30.0m)?

No,
it is showing a 2 minute stop at 3 m/ 10 ft. with a total ascent time of 5 minutes. Note the line with the up arrow under the number 5 indicating total accent time in minutes.

BTW, I just logged 37 dives & 37 hours on a Mantis M1 in Komodo & at elevation locally. It performed flawlessly. Have fun diving it!

Total ascent time if in deco obligation?
Yes, total ascent time due to a deco obligation. I didn't put the M1 in deco, we were diving nitrox in a remote destination.
