Hi everyone,

Quick question, is anyone diving Cisne? I read that the Bay Islands Aggressor had or was trying to previously. Is it possible to dive there at all? If so, what are people's experiences with it? It seems like one of the last relatively untouched dive sites in that part of the world. Thanks so much! : )

No one is currently diving there, and although the BIA offered this trip, they never pulled it off due to insurmountable red tape and usage "fees".

It's a long way to chug, off into the sea, some 55 miles North of the rest of the better known Bay Islands. The BIA had enough problems, as does any Bay Islands liveaboard, in keeping the boat moving with fuel even on the basic trip offerings.

The best image I have ever found: ACME Mapper 2.0

The Honduran Navy used to be stationed there, but after the Oct 98 storm, I think all that remains is an encampment of Nicaraguan (?) fishermen.

The diving along the North shore of Grand Swan is very shallow and worthwhile. The far SW tip is a steep wall that is florid, but only diveable during perfect wind/wave conditions.

If you have access to a fast dive boat, or want a real honest to gods adventure, this would be a good one to put on your list.

Thank you so much for your insight. Very appreciated! : )
