We’ll meet at Jake’s Sports Bar on Chimney Rock. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm and we begin schooling ordering drinks, food, and socializing between 6:30 – 7:00 pm.
Our speaker is Jennifer Idol. She’s the first woman to dive all fifty states. She’s the author of An American Immersion: How the first woman to dive all 50 states was transformed by her quest. She began her journey to dive all 50 states so that she could raise awareness of the beautiful underwater world of the United States.
She’s been diving for 20 years and has earned 28 certifications. Her design firm, The Underwater Designer, provides design and photography services for clients in water related industries. She’s a technical diver, designer, and underwater photographer.
She’s also an editor at large of SCUBA & H20 Adventures promoting local diving and next month they’re covering Texas, centered on the diving in the Greater Houston area. She’ll tell us more including how CHUMMERS can be involved.
She’ll have copies of her book available for purchase and signing.
