How incredible - one of our local Boy Scout Troops, Troop 82 out of Cape Coral, had about $1000 in Christmas tree's stolen from the little temporary shop they set up each year to raise money for their yearly activites.

I know our area here was hit pretty good by Charley and that things aren't what they should be, but how sad to steal from these young folks...

To make a donation:
Pete Duggan - Scoutmaster
5344 Mayfair Ct
Cape Coral 33904

Check payable to: Troop 82 Cape Coral

how bad is that!!!! Poor kids....hope they catch the no goods...

Any Kind of theft is terrible. But stealing Christmas trees? From the Boy Scouts? Distgusting. Every year the Boy Scouts come and pick up my Christmas tree for a small donation. I think I'll make a larger donation this year, and a big (bad words) to the thieves, may they be caught.

Hey Colin ... any chance you can post an address where we can send donations to this troop? I'd be happy to send a little something to help them replace their loss ... it's Christmas, after all ...

Me too!

Address posted in first post. A little insight - this troop was directly effected by Charley, the eye of the hurricane went over most of these boys houses, some don't even have one anymore, just a FEMA trailer. I'll be visiting them this weekend to make a donation to their tree kitty.

awww... this is horrbile. Maybe I will send some money... and maybe some latkes too. I am in the Chanukah spirit.
