OK, so both of my older kids are joining the Navy this Feb and have just started diving too. This brings up an odd situation for lining up Christmas gifts for them. I have already gotten them pretty well geared up with their OW/Cavern oriented dive kits, so I am looking for reasonable gift ideas that will work well for their unique situation.

I know they are both in basic for several weeks, so no diving in the short term. Daughter #1 will be training in California for at least a year and Kid #2 will probably be in Pensacola for 18 months. I know they are both hoping to find dive opportunities while they are there so ...

I was thinking that a travel case or lockable dive luggage might be a good option.

Any recommendations?

Dive gear travel bags shouldn't be marked as such in my opinion. I go with lockable hardships that will fit their fins and other gear (lightest weight you can get in the right size). That said, I've never been in the services and don't know what's allowed as to personal belongings or where they'd be stored.
