We are taking our teens for their first Bonaire trip (they've been to Curacao twice since getting OW/nitrox certified); we went numerous times pre-kids when our focus was to dive as much as possible (but never over the holidays)!

We have 11 days and will be there over Christmas. We will likely do the donkey sanctuary, considering a mangrove paddle.

Would love any ideas about fun things to do/special places to eat over the holidays? We don't need fancy food, but a view is much desired and I'm guessing some things may need to be reserved ahead?

We are staying near Windsock. We've always loved diving up north too.

Thanks so much!

I too will be there over Christmas break with my wife and 17 year old son. Staying at the Belmar. The Donkey sanctuary was something that I would have never done, but my wife wanted to. My son and I have never laughed so much in our lives watching those Donkeys follow us for food. It was fun. Wind surfing is also cool. Not much else to do other that dive. If you are there for New Years Eve the fireworks are amazing!!
