Am headed for Chinchorro banks early August. Anyone been there? Just looking for any feed back you might have, it's my first time and I don't know anyone that has been there before. I will also post this in the Central American section since it is so close to Belize.

Hope to hear from someone...:)

since its part of mexico you would get more imput posting on the mexico section. Big area which only a few operators have permits to dive. You need to either leave from Ixcalak or Mahaual. I doubt any boats from Belize can go there legally. Been there 5 or 4 times, day trips and camping out which is no longer permitted I think. Not virgin diving by any stretch but it does not get many divers. Its zones now to which areas you can dive. Also no diving on the wrecks so I hear.
