BY SUSAN HOGAN/ALBACH AND KATE GROSSMAN Staff Reporters
A 49-year-old scuba diver reportedly died of a heart attack Sunday morning after being pulled from Lake Michigan near Navy Pier.
************* of Oswego was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:50 a.m., police said.

He was among five recreational divers -- all certified -- on an outing offered by Aurora dive store *********, exploring Chicago area shipwrecks.

A boat captain and a crew member accompanied the divers, and "Everyone dives with a buddy," store owner *********** said.

Rescue crews were called to the scene around 11 a.m.

"He was in extremely critical condition," a fire department spokesman said. "He was in the water and [he was] recovered after being down for about 15 minutes."
