Moodiejeff:Scuba Core DVDs
I'd highly recommend buying the above DVDs for anybody looking for a liveaboard or exotic vacation.
The Cuan Law segment was especially good.
mike_s:couple of questions about the Cuan Law..
1.) how much can you dive a day? (typical number dives)
It's pretty much three dives a day. There were a few opportinities to do a fourth dive each day. The Cuan Law is not a "gorilla dive" livaboard. It's relaxing and slow paced. Three dives a day was plenty actually.
2.) Do you dive mostly off the back fo the Cuan Law or chase boats?
Most dives were from Zodiacs, but never a long ride. There were probably four or five dives from the boat...but this also has alot to do with where they anchor for the night.
3.) Is Nitrox available?
Yes, it was $10 per tank and must be ordered in advance.
4.) How is stuff for non-divers? what was the ration of divers to non-divers?
We had the whole boat chartered and had 11 divers and 7 non-divers. The non-divers really enjoyed the trip as well. They brough a massuese (lousy one) on board one day, they have Hobie cats, ocean kayaks, water skis, snorkeling equipment, etc.
