Calling all Conch Divers... Crew 7 will be doing some checkout dives at Alexander Springs this Saturday, at 8 am! Come and join us in one of the prettier springs in Florida. $5.00 to get in and dive!

were baptised in the crystal clear waters of Alexander Springs! What a great dive... the funny part was the cave divers. They were loaded for bear, sans all the really neccesary stuff (like reels) for cave exploration. They were boasting about all the miles of caves they had explored... yada, yada, yada.

We reffered to them as the silt kings after we saw them dive. Too funny! They kicked the fish poo out of the bottom, and did more damage to the great vis in their first two minutes there, than my four students did the entire time they were down there! The kicker was the 10 foot cave they explored! Somehow they got both of them inside and it was butts to elbows till they finally got out. Then they left one of their two lights on the sand... and were really surprised when I brought it to them.

But my kids did great! They got to see an impressive "herd" of freshwater mullet, and a zillion pan fish/bass/shad. We even got passed by a turtle (he was quick). All in all it was a bright sunny day, with some great scenery to boot!

Gee NetDoc,

You sound like the proud papa of these kids. Well, I guess in a way you are, you fathered their diving careers.

Congrats to the new divers from Crew 7. Sounds like you had a great day.

Ladydiver once bubbled...
you fathered their diving careers.
I wonder if there is such a thing as a "diving paternity suit"?

Either, its wear that, or go "au natural"... That would even scare the catfish out of the water! Here in Florida, we call 'em "wetsuits"...
