I am doing pool practice and need to film myself. I unfortunately have zero interest in photography. Are there any cheap camera recommendations? TIA

Ziplock and your old phone... Gopro's from I think the Hero 5 on (currently 13) are waterproof down to 10m without the extra housing.

Typically I would just call for a GoPro. But for dirt cheap pool work, go on Amazon and search Action Camera, and pick one that has a waterproof housing. I bet you can get one for less that what most people spend for a fast food meal these days.

Agreed on the cheap GoPro knockoffs. They work OK and you don't have to feel bad if you kill one.

cheap camera recommendations

If you have an iPhone or Samsung, you can find a durable case for underwater on Amazon for between $40-50. Eliminates getting a separate camera that you (probably) already have in your phone. I can't recommend it first hand as I don't have one - I just know they are available.

I've also taken my iPhone (11) underwater in my pool a few times with no case and I'm still using it, but there are depth and time limits.

Any specific model that i should look into?
No. I think they are all made in the same factory in China and you don't need 4k. Get whatever is cheap on Ebay

agree. eBay or Amazon, whatever you source cheap china junk from. the better deal will change week to week depending on who is trying to undercut who and what extras are thrown into what package. Whatever looks like a good deal, probably is. If it has a few hundred reviews in a fairly positive range, that will be fine.
