Hi,
I am planning a dive trip to Key Largo just after labor day for three days of diving with my wife and mother. We range in experience from about 40 dives of experience in only tropical locations, to over 200 dives of experience in a variety of conditions. We are looking for who to charter while we are there. We talked to Paradise Charters, but they are closed the week we want to go, and when we called the folks over at Quiescence I had one of the worst dive related phone conversations of my life. The person on the other end of the phone actually talked me out of going with them after I had already signed up and given a credit card. Amazing.
So, what we are looking for:
We will probably want to do a private charter all three days. We'd like do do one day on the Spiegel Grove and the other 2 on local reef dives. The normal requests of a good boat and helpful crew of course apply. Some of our hot buttons are dive operators who inappropriately limit bottom time for their own convenience, as well as operators who aren't cautious of the marine environment.
Does anyone have recommendations on who we should go with and why?
Thanks,
Justin
