I'm going to be in Charlotte, NC in June. What's the one dive I shouldn't miss that's within an hour's drive? Thanks!

None that I can think of. There are a couple of quarries within 2 hrs, that's about it. If you can add a couple of days to your trip, there are a lot of good dives out of Morehead City (~5 1/2hr) and Wilmington (4hr)
Probably the only thing that would interest you that close would be Lake Jocassee. actually 1 1/2 -2 hrs away.
