IT should be Clyde so we have Bonnie and Clyde in the Gulf of Mexico, but noooooooooo.. we can't be so lucky! We have Charlie that is coming into Ft Myers area and screwing up another weekend of diving and spearing out of this area. Oh well, I guess we go to the East coast and go lobstering

East coast or go inland, hit the springs like we are! They cant be that screwed by a little rain and viz wont got to pot like a whirling mass of water that will be the Gulf smoothie machine on friday morning. At least our big SB get-together was last weekend, not this one.

Actually now i think of it, this is quite a way into "the season" and we have only just had our first 3 named storms appear in the last week or so. Also, it has been unseasonably cool, not intolerable mid-90's feeling like mid-100's after humidity is factored in, or at least not every day. The last 3 summers were awful, this one is almost bearable.

Honestly, we're not that deep into Hurricane season. Traditionally August and September are the most active months. The earliest a hurricane has appeared that I can remember is 3 days after hurricane season starting.. the latest was something like.. oh.. mid august. Remember Andrew?

I wouldn't be quite so quick as to plan a trip over here just yet - at least not until Sunday. We're going to get plenty wet over here too.

I'm not sure the springs would be a good idea. The weather might get bad there, and if it does, it'll be late Friday to Saturday.

Looks like diving is on the east coast this weekend.

Thinking that by saturday AM that the centre should be in the Carolinas, so not too worried, might be a little soggy underfoot at time. Will call it that morning if we have to. Have the whole weekend to run this cavern course thing.
