I plan a trip to Charleston SC in June. How is the water condition at that time of year? How bad are the waves at the dive site? Sea sickness is a problem. Could somebody recommend a dive operator? Thanks in advance.

If you want to go off shore in June, try www.freedomatdepthcom for the schedule they have going to diving sites that Mark frequents. The store is wonderful as is the staff and all the rental equipment they handle. I know you will enjoy the whole experience.
For diving in the Cooper River, try www.offthewalldiving.com.
Bill does full day trips taking you out on the historic river to hunt for the fossils of the Megalodon shark, Indian artifacts, colonial artifacts and civil war relics.
Take time to read the websites before you e-mail or call to talk to them. I know you can gain a lot of information about the two choices available. Both of these outfits are professional and top operations for service and comfort. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

hello, in june the water is nice and warm mid 70's. the weather can vary from week to week, best bet would be to check the NOAA 41004 Buoy it has real time data and will give you a good idea of the conditions. YOu can also call "Charleston SCUBA" they are located on hwy 17 south just outside of downtown 843 763 3483. they have a full list of sites and discription on there web as well as on their facebook page ( which has pictures too!. GOOD Luck hope see you on the boat in june. I am one the Dive masters and Boat Captains for them.
