Chamber Day
Contributor
We’ve got a little more than three weeks to go. We’re doing well in some areas – the Challenge is poised to set new records – but lagging in others. Traditionally, the pace of signups picks up in April and picks up even more as we get closer and closer to the event date (May 5), but we also don’t want to take anything for granted.
Don’t forget that Chamber Day provides about 50% of the overall annual funding for our Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. And while it’s easy to think that your donation (or lack thereof) won’t matter when you see how well the Challenge is doing, that’s not the case at all. Even when we’re doing well, it never hurts to have a cushion for unexpected expenses. As an example, a few years ago, one of the compressors went down and it cost about $10,000 to get everything back to where it needed to be. Unplanned expenses like that can take a big chunk out of a budget that’s always stretched thin. So whatever you choose to do – boat, Dutchman, Challenge, Evening, or t-shirts – every dollar helps.
There’s no time like the present. To become part of all of this, just click on this direct link to our sign-up page: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dp3rzL7cVCFp1rM
