Chamber Day
Contributor
We’re almost at $45,000 . . .
We start the day with a pair of $500 donations. The first comes from longtime supporter and avid diver Don Lake. Don frequently dives Catalina and while he hopes he ever needs the services of the Chamber, he’s happy to make a donation to insure that our Chamber is there should he or anyone else need it. He’s joined by a donation in memory of Hollywood Divers co-owner Bill Strong. This comes from his business partner Hal Wells. Hal and Bill have always been fervent supports of our Chamber (they have a table at Ch-Eve as well) and Bill’s presence in the diving community is missed.
And I’m going to mention our sole $100 contribution to day from Ellen Berman. She lives in Wantagh, New York, and diving is the furthest thing from her mind. Yet she donates every year. And that’s because she’s my cousin. And Ellen is a great example that you don’t need to still be diving California - or even be a diver at all - but that if someone you care about dives in our area, you should make a donation. And even if no one you know dives around here, bear in mind that our Chamber shares info with other Chambers so you donation can be benefitting people all over the place, not just in SoCal.
So who will push us over $45,000 and higher? We’re a little under five weeks to go to May 7 and time is going to start running out. Who’s next??? Here’s the direct link to the donation page: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_88ko1OUej3lAYbI
