Chamber Day
Contributor
We’re now past (barely) $65,000!!! (But that’s still pretty impressive.) But we’ve still got a ways to go and a shade over four weeks to get there.
We lead off (it’s baseball season so baseball terms seems apropos) with a generous Platinum donation made anonymously in memory of Dr. Jeff Sipsey, who was the longtime medical director for our Chamber. Ironically Jeff was not only NOT a diver, but also thought we were a little nuts to be going underwater all the time. But he had a tremendous affection for divers and worked tirelessly to find new and better ways to treat us when something went wrong.
We also have two Gold-level donation this go-round. The first is from Andy Pilmanis, who was the first director of the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. So you know that Andy certainly knows how valuable our Chamber can be and, even though he no longer lives in the area, feels compelled to show his support. And the second donation comes from a name that should be familiar to you: D.A.N. (the Divers Alert Network). They have a grant program where they provide financial support to many chambers and we qualify for that.
On the Silver level, we have another one of our regular and longtime donors, Ethan Bush. It’s always gratifying to see familiar names like Ethan’s popping up again this year on our list.
How about your name? Even if you’ve never been on our list before, there’s room for you. As you can see from the list below, most people give $100. But if you can afford a bit more, that’s all the better.
So whose names will be appearing in our next update? Now that we’re into April, it seems like the finish line of May 3 is in sight and we’d certainly like to finish strong. We can do that with your help. Here’s the direct link to help accomplish that: https://usc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_dnemil47PUc8aGy
