It's a Marvelous Monday as we made it past $30,000!!!
We are led this go-round by longtime Chamber supporter John Delaney who every year as long as I can remember calls in with a generous $1,000 Challenge donation, as well as he gets seats for Chamber Eve and gets t-shirts too. John understands how important our Chamber is to the overall health and well-being of the diving community and is willing to back that up financially.
We’ve also got a pair of Silver donations. The first comes from John Lumb, not only an instructor of longstanding but also a member of our Chamber Day Steering Committee as well as one of our volunteer Divemasters during Chamber Day. (He’ll be DMing the Dutchman this year.)
And our second donation underscores the idea of donating in someone’s memory. This time we’re fondly remembering Tom Wetzel, a character to say the least (and we do mean that only in the best possible way) as well as a key member of the Committee for many, many years. The donation in Tom’s memory comes from his sister Patti.
We’re right about at the midpoint of our fund-raising efforts this year, which are further complicated by the COVID-19 restrictions in place. So whether it’s the Challenge, or the Dutchman, or signing up for virtual Chamber Ever (or all three), we need all the help we can get.
