We are SOOOOO close to $45,000 . . .
We get a nice double-push from two $500 Silver-level sponsors. The first is Ocean Adventures Dive Co., not only a longtime Challenge participant and a Chamber Eve table sponsor but owner Steve Ladd also serves as our prize coordinator plus we've roped his daughter Erika into the fold this year. And the point is that some organizations and individuals donate time, some donate money, and some do both.
Our second Silver sponsor, also with a $500 donation, is California Diving News. We also appreciate the fact that each year they give us promotion in the form of good coverage leading up to Chamber Day. As I've said many times, this is an event that lives and dies by word-of-mouth and this year we appreciate not only the publicity, but that they're putting their money where their mouth is too.
On top of that, we've got a slew of $100 Bronze donors (including a corporate match we forget to mention previously). So we're in better shape than we were a week ago but we've still got a ways to go. We're only INCHES (well, actually 1,115 inches) away from our next benchmark of $45,000. The pace usually quickens as we approach the finish line so . . .
