CHAMBER DAY & CHAMBER EVE 2016 - WEDNESDAY, MAY 4 - SAVE THE DATE!!!

We gave you a three-week break but now it's time to start ramping things up. We're off to a good start with the Challenge but still have a ways to go.

We are led this week by James Silveria and also by the Roddenberry Foundation. James is an individual donor at the Gold/$1,000 level and the Roddenberry Foundation is a longtime supporter, helping our Chamber to explore new frontiers in treatment when a diver goes where no diver has gone before.

We're also received a Silver/$500 donation from Maja Vrvilo, another long-time supporter of the missions of our Chamber, which is make sure we're available 24/7/366 when a diver needs us.

We should also point out that we're got a couple of corporate matching grants (E. & J. Gallo Winery in this update and Phillips 66/76 previously) which points out that if your employer has such a program, it's a great way for you to double the value of your contribution to our Chamber. Just let us know if there's any paperwork for us to fill out or if it's something that's done on your end and by the company.

One other technical note (and we may change the wording on the website) deals with if you want to make your donation in memory/honor of someone. The website currently reads "Donation Assignment" with a space to fill in a name or group. When you do that, THAT is the name that we will list in our roll call below. It's not just asking you who you are affiliated with.

Also, if you are making a donation in someone's memory or as part of a group, we can't really tally everything and then just make it one lump sum. If you want to pool donations from numerous people, appoint someone in your group to co-ordinate that and then make one donation when you've collected all the funds. Otherwise, we'll simply list each contribution in memory of that person, but without the additive power of multiple donations that would likely raise everything to a higher recognition level. (If you have questions, e-mail chamberday@aol.com or call 310/652-4990.)

But no matter how you do it, everything helps. So who's next? Who will help push us towards $15,000?
