CHAMBER CHALLENGE 2010 - UPDATE #5 - $13,275 (posted 4/4/10 - last updated 3/27/10)

We always like it when someone calls us and says, "I don't think the Challenge total is high enough and here's how I'd like to help . . ."

This is one of those things where you can't have too much (in Challenge donations). More is good. Less is bad. And the more of us that band together with donations to the Chamber Challenge, the more secure the financial footing for our Chamber remains. Think of the downside: Wouldn't it be horrible if an injured diver had to be told, "Normally we'd take you to Catalina but the Chamber there closed due to lack of funding.”

You can help us make sure that that awful scenario doesn't ever come true. Give us a call or go on-line and make whatever donation to the Chamber Challenge that you can afford.

Two of our latest donors have joined as a Silver Sponsor. Ocean Adventures, whose owner Steve Ladd has served for many years on the Chamber Day Committee and is our Raffle Prize chairman, has come through again this year with a $500 contribution.

They're joined as a Silver Sponsor by Rex Uber. Rex typifies what's great about this event because he's just a "regular" diver who not only frequently dives SoCal but really understands the importance of our Chamber and is willing to do his part.

So hopefully you'll join Steve and Rex and the literally hundreds of others who make Chamber Day such a success and such a community event. So . . .who’s next? Who will help push us past $14,000?
