CHAMBER CHALLENGE 2009 - UPDATE #1 - $3200 (posted 3/18/09 - last updated 3/18/09)
We're hoping for another big year for Chamber Day and specifically for the Chamber Challenge. In these uncertain economic times, it's hard to predict what the future holds for events like ours. But we hope those of you who care about our Chamber can dig deep once again, and help us provide the financial security net that our Chamber - and we - need.
And don't forget that our Chamber turns 35 this year!!! So we've got a birthday cake and we're looking to you to help us buy and light the candles. Every $1000 donor will be named a sponsor of one of the birthday cake candles. ($500 donors will share a candle.) So we're hoping you'll help us create a conflagration.
And we're off to a nice start.
We'll begin by saluting our first three candle sponsors. Jeff Smith at Pacific Wilderness sent us a an e-mail moments after we opened for business that said, "Let's get this thing rolling with our $1000 donation." Sport Chalet has also already stepped up and lit another candle with their $1000 donation. And Laurie Kasper & Ken Kurtis (the second name sounds vaguely familiar . . .) have lit a candle as well.
But a good start doesn't do us as much good as sustained momentum and a strong finish. So . . . Who's next? Who will help push past $4000?
