Welcome to the board. There are a few real die hards among us here in the Midwest who either have no feeling in their extremeties or enough money for exposure protection to dive year round.

However for most the diving season starts around the beginning of may and goes into October. Central Illinois is a good place to be...not to far from the lakes or from some great quaries in IL, OH, and KY.

I resemble that remark!

The trick with the extremities is to go numb BEFORE it starts to hurt--then you're home free.

And you only have to pay for the exposure protection ONCE--then you are allowed to dive in it hundreds of times. Sweet deal.

Welcome restor5! Where in IL are you? You must come diving with us this summer.
