You're right, Firefyter. And, that's what I told her when she was upset about the bill. I told her that I'm just glad I'm not sitting by her side in a hospital, wondering if she's going to make it, like some parents are at this moment. And that I don't have to wonder if she's going to come home at night. Money can be replaced, people can't. I told her that she would have to work to pay us back. It also reminded us of how much it had cost her older sister when my oldest daughter wrecked her car and several other cars in one whack (yes, her fault, but that's another story). Sucked for her to get back on the school bus, you know? But, she did. And found a job to pay for the damaged vehicle.
Fortunately, it was just a scare. She will still owe a bill on roaming charges, and she won't like paying that- but I bet she pays good attention to those minutes and when she's roaming from now on.
