cayman shore dives

After booking at the East End, my wife now says she wants to do more shore dives on this trip. Though we really are not positioned for shore dives at The Reef, what would be the best way to do a few based on our location? We will have a car of course, and we know we will have to drive a bit. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Closest ones would be in George Town, say at Sunset house, Don Fosters & Eden Rock. I don't think there are any shore dives (at least none with a dive operator) closer to the east.

Agree on the 3 above; can also go down to the Turtle Farm area and shore dive from there - Cracked Conch, Cobalt Coast - they'll give you an idea of the West end of the island.

BTW, did a shore dive at Sunset this week-end and we saw the biggest Moray eel I have ever seen (it was a beast ...) and an eagle ray. Both were at the drop-off in 90ish feet of water. On the way back we stopped for a few pictures at the mermaid. Great dive

I dove Eden Rock thurs. water was great wonderful people to deal with had 2 great dives.

There are a ton of shore dives out your way. We have not shore dived the east coast as the wall there is a long way :mooner: off but there are shore dives all along the north & south coasts starting at Spotter Bay Wall (also known as Cabana Wall/Turtle Pass?) on the NE coast & Blowholes (also known as River of Sand) on the SE coast. You would need a car, to rent your tanks from the Reef or OF, booties, compass & be happy with shor entries & exits.
