Cayman Brac to GCM/Connection Times

Hi,

I am considering a trip to Cayman Brac and have a question on connection times. I would need to take the 6:20am Cayman Airways flight back to Grand Cayman which gets in at 6:55am. The American Airlines flight I would like to take leaves at 9:50am. I assume that having almost three hours would be more than enough time to claim my bags, recheck and clear security at GCM but I'd like to double check. If it helps to be more specific, I would be looking at a Saturday or Sunday departure in August. I would hope the crowds would be a little thinner in August.

I appreciate any info anyone can provide.

The 2:55 layover should be plenty of time, particularly at that time of morning.

More than adequate connection time. I always find time for the Hungry Horse restaurant upstairs. Enjoy "the Brac."

Plenty of time. Maybe someone can answer - as a US arriving from a sister island do you have to get to the standard line on the left or is there a line straight ahead or to the right you can use as you are not entering the country? Also except for Cayman Air, I don't think the US airline ticket counters open until 3 hours before flight time.

Arriving from the Brac to GC you just walk straight in. The problem as you stated is you might have to go the the hungry horse with your luggage until the agent opens. Done that a few times.

Have a 7 hr layover in Barbados in six months on the way home. Have lounge access via PP but still.
