As mentioned in a prior thread the Cayman Islands got popped with a very windy storm. For those interested, here are some observations on the Brac. Monday and Tuesday dives were cancelled due to high wind and waves. Marine activity stops when there are Severe Weather warnings issued. Dive boat went out Wednesday
North shore suffered the worst damage with several inches of sandy dirt covering the north road along with lots of football size rocks/coral. Fish cleaning sheds at Scott’s Dock and Handcuff Reef/Panama Canel we’re destroyed. The one at Spot Bay/Suez Canal survived. The government docks had some containers get loose causing havoc. Rumor has it a few disappeared into the Sea. Trees down and power went out for about an hour, but that may have been them fixed downed lines.
Below are a couple of photos taken around noon Tuesday which was about 8-10 hours after peak winds.
