As long as for vacation im not in 7ml with hood. thick gloves im a happy camper. 3ml to me feels like a soft pair of jeans :)
 
Not everyone is as hardy as Vincent. Mid-seventies and for me, a full 3 mm isn't enough. I have to add a chill guard and extra hoodie. Then I'm warmer, but still cold. I'm looking for a 5 mm for those temps.

I'm sure it has gone lower, but I've never seen anything under 78f in the winter in the waters off of Grand Cayman. I wear a 3mm with no hood and am plenty comfy.
 
All this sounds like heaven! I'm hoping to go to the surge, if not maybe to following week. Trying to not buy that 3ml just yet.......
 
Maybe a sweatshirt for surface interval? I haven't felt too cool except maybe the night dives. A 3 mm should be fine I would think.
