Cavern in a Zeagle Ranger?

You'll save yourself a lot of money and heartache by getting a BP/W sooner rather than later. Yes, you can cobble something together with the Ranger. But if you're headed to cave, you're fighting an expensive losing battle.

Why did you go with the Ranger instead of the BP/W out of the gate?

Ha....not that experienced and fell victim to store pressure.....you know how it goes....you've probably seen this on here a million times...

Your zeagle will get you through cavern just fine. I know a guy who did cavern and intro in a ranger with double 80's without any problems. He's since upgraded to 108's and a bp/w.

With higher volume steel tanks, you'll probably want a bp/w but since you *just* bought the thing, well, might as well use it for a while.

Btw, did the shop you bought it from know you were interested in cave diving? If so, I'd never go there again.

Yes they did know....and that's not the first time i've heard that.....i guess i need to go shopping for a new LDS.....

Wouldn't 4 to 6 lbs in the trim pockets accomplish the same weight distribution resulting in better trim?

New Rangers have rear trim pockets, which doesn't help get the weight higher up on your back.

Old Rangers (like the one I bought used) don't have any trim pockets at all.

I also have a sinking feet problem... if putting weight on my upper cam band doesn't do it I guess I am going shopping soon.

sure, if the trim pockets are high enough ... but like Matt says, if they're down low, you don't really accomplish anything

well, if you can move them it's not an issue, just change them to the top of the rig or tank

Another victim of a LDS! I think I am going to start a support group! I am giving up my TUSA Passage for a BP/W! It will hurt now a bit since my Tusa is only 3 months old, but dang I can't wait to not have to fight the gear on my dives anymore!

(I feel doubles are in my future, resistance is futile!)
