I did a two tank dive with Tank-Ha out of Playa Del Carmen at Chac Mool. It was absolutely amazing. I've been diving at lot of reefs but this is so different. If you ever get the opportunity to dive at a Cenote in the Yucatan (there are hundreds) don't pass it up. I brought my own gear but Tank-Ha also rents it. Everyone else in our small group used their equipment and no one complained. One of my favorite dives ever.

@bshmerlie

Glad you enjoyed the dive! Judging from your pics, the owners still prohibit divers from bringing camera gear and instead make divers rely on that photographer who hangs out onsite. I brought my camera and did not learn about the policy until I arrived at the cenote. I was disappointed the dive shop didn't tell me beforehand. I still enjoyed the dives, however.

No they still don't allow cameras but us three divers did split the cost so it wasn't too bad. The photographer did have a much nicer camera than I have so I didn't mind.

What's the over/under on how many posts before he gets told about cavern diving safety/not being cavern certified
??? Are you saying that someone who has been diving for over a decade shouldn't do a Cenote dive unless they are taking a full cavern diving class?

Fantastic photos! I appreciate your recommendation! Thanks for sharing!

Yes I did want to do Dos Ojos too but unfortunately I'm just diving while on vacation instead of a diving vacation. The friends I'm with don't dive so I'm gonna have to do that on the next trip.
You need new friends then. ‘Kick them to the kerb’, as you America dwelling types might say.

Seriously, this might sound like I’m joking, but that’s not the case; these are bad people and you can’t have them in your life any longer.

You know what to do: good luck and God bless.
