It is probably easy for me to understand as trying to figure things out in a cloud of silt in a cave would be similar to trying to find and extract a resident in a smoke-filled house - it doesn't get any easier with experience, and it is nothing like what is portrayed in the movies - if you are lucky you can see a foot in front of you - no doubt your situation was similar.Thank you. I appreciate your input very much, you seem to understand the situation very well. The PTSD aspect never occured to me. The cave community has been very supportive and understanding. This is the first time I have been back on scuba board the out pouring of support is making me cry.
Crying is a good thing - firefighters do it more than you would think and it helps.
