Hi there!!!
I'm trying to make my own canister, but I can't find ;-0 the following material:
Stainless Steel Latches
Watertight Switches
Do you know any on-line web page to get those items

Thank you very much!

mcmaster-carr for the latches.

what I am using for a switch is a standard toggle switch with a silicone "boot" that threads on overtop. you can find them in most electrical catalogs, try looking for "enviromental shields"

the problem with a pushbutton swith is that the water pressure tends to push them in, and they won't come out again until you surface ;)

anytime!

trust me, if it can be done wrong, I've probably tried it! LOL

The spring latches I used (see picture)
are
spring latches, P/N NSH-8332
purchased from

I got my latches from AUL ( http://www.aul-inc.com )... they're just like the $6 McMaster latches (actually the same source, Nelson) but have a NICELY radiused curve bending into the canister. The McMaster latches are straight and need to be bent.

McMaster also has the Helios/Mako style locking latches for about $12 each, but the handle is bent the wrong way (bent OUT!) and needs to be re-bent or it turns into a line/kelp catcher.
