catching flights home from Utila..help!

Can anyone tell me how close the docks at La Ceiba are to the airport.....The schedule says that the Utila Princess arrives at La Ceiba at 720am...I have a flight out of La Ceiba to San Pedro Sula at 8am..is this enough time to clear customs and board the flight? 40 minutes seems very tight. However my flight out of San Pedro Sula back to the states leaves at approx 1150am so I really need to make it...I am so looking forward to this trip but I am beginning to stress a bit over my departure from the Island.
Anyone have any insight?

Hi

The ferry leaves Utila at 6.20am, I would say that you will arrive in La Ceiba between 7.20am and 7.30 am, there will be lots of cabs waiting, it will take you approximately 20 to 25 mins to get to the airport.

There is normally a flight from La Ceiba to San Pedro Sula at 9 to 9.30am can you change your flight to the slightly later one and then you would have no problems catching your international flight.

Take the Ferry over the afternoon before and stay somewhere.
Rainbow Village will pick you up.

No customs @ La Ceiba. Its a tight squeeze. Why not fly from Utila to La Ceiba?

My initial plans were to fly to Utila from San Pedro Sula....but atlantic evidently hasnt yet resumed these flights, and i dont see any Sunday flights on SOSA to La Ceiba listed..just tues, thurs, and saturday. Deep Blue divers was correct though there is a sunday flight out at 945 that arrives at 10:10 in San Pedro Sula...plenty of time for my 11:50 flight out...Regardless..Im going and will enjoy my month..Hell if i cant find a way out..i may just have to stay i guess forever and ever.....darn the luck

That's too tight for comfort. I would see about changing to the later flight or head over to La Ceiba the night before. Good luck.

The later flight is one that a lot of our customers take, and that will give you plenty of time, and as you say, if the worse comes to the worse you will just have to stay on Utila for the rest of your life LOL
