Yesterday was a good fishing day, my catch was as follows:

Speargun:
3 hogfish
2 snappers
1 "chapin" (dark one on the top)

Trolling with a 15ft deep lure
2 bonitos (tuna family)

We spended the SIs trolling 3miles offshore, no use in wasting time while at sea.

My buddy got a 2# lobster and a snapper diving, and trolling 2 "bonitos " same size as mine.

What a day!!!!

Are mackerel and bonitios the same fish? Those look like mackerel to me.

Nice hog on the left side of the cooler !!

Chapin the same thing as a cowfish? Them suckers tend to be pretty tough...

Nice Fish... looks like they even come scaled and cutted down there. We have to do it ourselves up here. You guys most be pretty desperate for food down there eatin bonita when you have Hogs!

Those are Atlantic (common) Bonito--Sarda sarda. They are related to mackerel, but are more closely related to tunas.
