Its not. 40 ft3 weighs the same in a Luxfer as it does in a catalina.

I'm not sure how the measurements you have were made, but Catalina's are more negative. They hang off you like dead rocks. Thats why they are not recommended.

I fully agree, this does not make sense! 40cft is 40cft, and as long as the gas is the same the weight will not be different.

there is actually little difference in the Catalina and Luxfer small aka Pony tanks!

you want a tank that wont float when empty, get a Faber!

Maybe Catalina used Winter air instead of Summer air then they tested them! :eyebrow:

This is backwards, you want a stage to float up and behind your arm - not hang like a boat anchor.

A 40 is not really a "pony" and I wouldn't advocate rigging one on your back either. Sling it like a stage and get a luxfer.
