Just got back from the Island and conditions were great this weekend! Viz ranged from 30' to over 60'+ The water has cleaned up nicely....Still a tinge of green but much more blue than it has been. We had no current to speak of on Sat. however Sun most of "off the Island" dive spots had moderate current. Sunday brought a bit more surge due to swell produced by outer water winds. The Sun was out all day on Sat....Sun. we finally saw it just as we pulled into the dock at San Pedro. Weather and dive conditions look good for this Wed. open boat if anyone is interested!

I concur with Cpnt. Jerry. I just got done doing two dives at the casino point dive park and I have to say, the first dive was definately one of the top 10 best dives I ever had in the dive park. (i have over 300 dives in the dive park) the vis was a solid 30 and the water is well on its way to turning clear blue again, best vis in two months for sure. I saw everything one would expect to see in the dive park including a HUGE bat ray a 6' giant black sea bass, a morray eel, nudi's and on and on. temp was 60 degres at the surface and 57 at 70 feet.... quite comfortable.

I could not dive over the weekend but almost everyone that I talked to at the dive park told me that they experienced similar conditions all weekend. So, Things are looking up after a miserable April.

see ya at the dive park!
