Did you see the Black Sea Bass @ Casino Point? I was on Catalina Island at dive site called Little Italian Gardens more than 10 years ago where the dive master said, there could be three or four in that area. Alas, no sighting. Wonderful to finally these beautiful creatures. They're so docile even close up.

I remember the first time I saw one close up. I was bug hunting with my hand in a crack, trying to get a bug. When I looked around, this GSB was about 3-4 ft away from me, looking like he was just there saying, "Hi, watcha doing?"

....Or perhaps he was hoping to snatch your lobster once you did the work for him of getting it out of the crack
