Dove Cat Rocks earlier today with some friends from CT. Entered the water around 4:45 and after a short surface swim dropped down. Vis was fantastic, around 15+ feet in the boulders. Explored the boulders for 20 minutes before beginning our way back to our entry point. My buddies were in wetsuits and with a 48*F water temp they started getting cold. Max depth 70 fsw and there were cunner everywhere in the rocks. Saw a few bugs, anemones, and rock gunnels. Overall it was a good dive after the cold shock was over. It is getting into drysuit weather.

Haven''t been up to Rockport in a while, love that site. Stayed at Yankee Clipper Inn and was able to walk across the street and dive. That place rivals Cat Rocks,Giant Boulders! Thanks for the report. :)

I did Cat rocks this year, probably my last dive there, too rough on the knees. One of the best sites on the NE coast.

Thanks for the post. I am in RI for 3 weeks around Thanksgiving. So far AfterDark and I have connected and I did get your (Portyhunter's) PM. Sounds like I am in for a treat.
