@deepsea21 .... congrats on your discovery after so many years. Hope you are having a great time on your vacation. Sorry we could not meet this time but hopefully soon.

Not sure why but I think posting on this forum gets very strong opinions at all times. If deepsea21 is having fun on his vacation good for him. And we should thank him for sharing is discovery/ knowledge with us rather than bashing him. Give him a break after all he is on vacation.

No worries Vic. As I’ve said before, for every scubaboad member or member of any online forum who wakes up every day with their coffee cup half empty and spat in there are 1000 who have no time for any of it and just enjoy their lives without judging others. What do they say? Theres an A-hole on every boat and if ya can’t tell who it is it may be you!

It’s too bad you had to cancel this month as the boats are full of cool people who don’t fixate on threats such as brain eating amoebas multiplying in swimming pools. The regular 3P’s Xmas group is growing by the day now with more still arriving over the next few days as new friends we made over the past week are now departing. Rest assured, no one I’ve met diving with 3P’s or any other dive op this trip has had any problem jumping in a pool before showering, having their gear rinsed in a common rinse tank, enjoying a beverage with ice in it, or eating fresh pico at a back street restaurant in fear of contracting some sort of disease.

Not related to the pool but I see on the web site “onsite laundry.” Is this coin operatered self service machines or laundry service by the faculity for charge?

First trip there in February. Any other tips appreciated to make the stay better.

Thanks

@uncfnp ... I am not sure about onsite laundry. But we used margarita laundromat which is on 3rd and 20th ave. It is a small walk from Casa, and is very reasonable and usually had the clothes done in few hours. Hope that helps. Also at the hotel try not to get the rooms facing the breakfast on the lower floor, gets really noisy.

There is a new laundromat on 5 and 7 right behind Casa Mexicana on 5. It's right next door to the little convenience store on the corner. We used it twice.

Laundry service. We gave them a bag (4~5 days of casual clothing) on Thu AM...the clean, dry, folded clothing was in our room when I got back from 2 dives, cheap and -- for us -- worth the little extra to avoid hauling a bag even a few blocks to an outside wash service.

Perfect. Thank you.

In addition to what has been said about the new laundry on Avendia 5 & Calle 7 is their prices are very very inexpensive.
Also they will deliver your finished product back to your hotel for I believe an extra 30 pesos if you want. Great folks.
