I'm staying in the Wailea area on a family vacation. Is the Carthaginian dive worth the long drive up to Lahaina and back? Opinions anyone? I'm kinda interested in seeing the tourist sub go by, is that predictable or a random event? Thanks all.

I liked it, but then I did it from shore by kayak. When I went, the ship was in good enough shape to look like something from Pirates of the Carribean.

It isn't worth it for me, but seeing the sub go by was fun. Lahaina Divers usually does a nice job of coordinating their dive with the sub's schedule, so you'd likely see it if you go with them.

Well, fate has made up my mind for me. I called to book the trip, but the trip I had hoped to take tomorrow with Extended Horizons is not going out.
