My brother just finished up his certification, and I'm looking to take him on a trip in either the middle of march or beginning of the summer. I think I've decided on a liveaboard (best way to get fill up your log book!), but am trying to decide on a location. I dove with Nekton in Belize recently, so that's off the list.

I've looked into Utila, Turks and Caicos, and the Caymans with Agressor, and have looked into one of the Bahama's itinerary with Nekton, but can't decide.

Since this is his first trip, I want him to experience a bit of everything -- some walls, wrecks, reefs, sharks, turtles, rays, dolphins, eels, baracuda, etc (I think new divers are generally more interested in the bigs than the smalls). With that said, are any of the options i've listed better than the others? Thanks in advance!

You might like other places, but you'll always use the Nekton as the standard for comparison of liveaboards. I have also done the Bahamas with them a number of times.

So, you saw everything when you were in Belize? I never get tired of it.

Think about the Cuan Law in the BVI. I don't know the boat, but the captain of the chartered sailboat we did the BVI on had worked there, and he highly recommended that we make a return trip and go on that boat.

The BVI has a lovely spectrum of beginner dives, with reefs and rocks and wrecks, good viz, little current, and an excellent profusion of sea life. Maybe not the biggest schools of fish, but beautiful corals, sponges and gorgonians make up for that.

Of course I didn't see everything there! And I sure was not tired of it when I left, but only being able to do 1 or 2 dive trips a year, if I kept going back to Belize I'd never get to see what some of the other reefs hold.

:D Nekton to Bahamas! :D
Since he is a newer diver you might want to consider the NW itinerary. But if you think he is up to it, do Cay Sal Bank...... great diving and lots of sharks. :D
We are going again in late April with several friends who are newer divers, it should be a blast!
